Studio Lievito

Designer

Founded by Francesco Taviani, Laura Passalacqua, and Jacopo Volpi, Studio Lievito was established with the mission to design unique and serial pieces capable of redefining contemporary production techniques through the use of traditional craftsmanship. Their design subverts convention with simple yet witty gestures, turning everyday objects into narrative elements. The studio designs collections for Italian and international brands, while also developing self-produced, limited-edition works crafted by Italian artisans, celebrating local materials and reinterpreted techniques. Their works have been exhibited in art galleries in Italy and abroad and are part of the Triennale Design Museum selection. Studio Lievito is also active in education and research, collaborating with museums, cultural institutions, IED, and the University of Florence through teaching and workshops. For MaVoix, Studio Lievito creates a wallpaper collection that explores and reinterprets the materials of living. The decorative surfaces become mirrors of alternative worlds, rich in optical illusions and graphic-digital interplay. The concept of illusion is central to their identity and represents the deepest connection with the spirit of MaVoix — an intimate, continuous voice that urges new readings of reality.
