“A-pool day” belongs to the Morphing series, a visual exploration born from the progressive alteration of images sourced online. Starting from the keyword “pool”, the artwork develops by following web-generated associations — such as “pool party” and other related imaginaries — gradually building an ever-expanding and unpredictable iconographic archive. This “encyclopedia of images” is then layered, distorted and reworked in Photoshop, giving rise to a fluid landscape in which the original subject dissolves. The pool is no longer recognizable: it becomes a trace, a reflection, a visual echo. The result is a metamorphic scenario, composed of overlapping layers that transform real data into an abstract, suspended environment in constant redefinition.
